After staff narrowed the suggestions to three finalists, our community made the final call, and the winner was clear! Give a warm welcome to our future feathered friend: an owl! 🦉

Thanks to a generous anonymous donation supporting this project, local artists will have the opportunity to submit a bid to bring our new mascot to life through a custom mascot commission. See below for bid details below.

Bid to local artists!

We are in need of a graphic design for our new mascot. Please send Tina 2-3 samples of your work at cstjohn@alpenalibrary.org or drop the samples off at the front desk with ATTN: Tina.

The library's leadership team will select a local artist we feel will meet our mascot design needs based on the work/style submitted. The selected artist will receive $500 in commission and see their creation out and about as the library's mascot!

We’re excited to see this new chapter take flight! Stay tuned for more updates.
