Summer Reading Program 2026
REGISTRATION
Registration opens June 15th online with a Google Form application or in person at the library. Programs start June 20th. After registration, pick up a reading minute tracker.
Kickoff: June 20th, Activities and Take and Make Crafts available while supplies last
Finale: Saturday, Aug. 1st 10 AM - 2 PM Ice cream social and National Geological society with hands on activities.

HOW DO I EARN A PRIZE?
1,000 minutes read by all participating by August 1st. To add up to 250,000 altogether. Claim personal prizes throughout the summer when participants meet individual reading goals.
HOW DO I WIN RAFFLE PRIZES AND WHAT ARE THEY?
Kids, teens, and adults must be at the finale to claim their prizes. Tickets available at the indicated milestones on reading minute tracker.
Participants can earn tickets into our raffle per age group by completing personal reading goals. Need to be present to win.
Youth: Downtown Dollars & Dinosaur Gardens certificate, Downtown Dollars & planetarium certificate
Tween/Teen: Downtown Dollars & dinosaur skull decoration, Downtown Dollars & panning certificate
Adult: Downtown Dollars & map of the Great Lakes, Downtown Dollars & dino skull keychain
