The Alpena County Library is the recipient of a Michigan Arts and Culture Council Experience Support Grant, and with a very generous funding match from the Friends of the Alpena Library, we've been able to update some of the furniture and functionality of our Judith Stillion Conference Room. Some of the easy things to notice are 120 brand-new chairs and a portable stage in our programming space!

With an average of 180 events each year in the conference room, from author talks and live music to cultural programs, these improvements will help make every experience more comfortable, accessible, and enjoyable for our community.
