Taber Collection

Ann Taber was a teacher with the Alpena Public Schools where she taught speech,
writing and history. An avid historian she wrote a column for the Alpena News and
produced a radio show in the 1950s which highlighted local history. She was also a
noted lecturer and entertained many organizations with anecdotes on what she called the
"little people" in Alpena history.
