George N. Fletcher Business Papers
Mr. Fletcher came to the Thunder Bay region in 1853 searching for pine. His influence and money were major factors in the development of this area, and the Fletcher name still holds prominence in Alpena.
Business papers dating to the early formation of Alpena (Fremont), c1859 to the 1920's, make up this collection, which includes land contracts, lumber camp log books, stocks & bonds, and personal papers.
